A Destination Resort in Upstate New York is re-positioned.

The land owner was faced with the disposition of a fallow 1700 acre asset immediately following the Great Recession. An expert team of planners, architects, engineers and investment bankers was assembled to work on a sustainable plan for the former resort property. It was determined that the property be re-positioned as a destination resort that included  a casino gaming facility with hotel, a golf course and an indoor waterpark hotel. The master plan included all infrastructure to serve the site and other amenities with open space that would eventually attract residential and other hospitality and services to the area. The turnaround of this major investment attracted over a billion dollars of investment to the site and spurred complimentary economic development and job growth in the area.

Community based student housing goes to class.

A new type of community based student housing was proposed that worked with faith based organizations on public university campuses. By involving existing campus organizations and leveraging the model provided by fraternities and sororities, a new student housing model was developed that centered around a core affiliation within a community setting yet remained a vital part of campus based housing.

A medieval hamlet is worthy of another look.

A small medieval hamlet outside Siena, Italy is a target for potential acquisition. It would be re-positioned as a vacation residence with a small bed & breakfast hotel, a cantina and meeting rooms all with a signature look provided by our sister company, Mercato Antiques & Artifacts. Siena is home to the famous 800 year old, bareback horse race known as il Palio di Siena. The property would serve as a backdrop to vacation tours to the local antique fairs in Arezzo, Lucca, Florence and elsewhere. In addition, wine tasting, Tuscan cuisine and cultural tours are a likely adjunct to any trip to Italy. Please stay tuned for more news.

A few starter homes get an update.

A modest single family home in Portland, Oregon is completely renovated and modernized. The entire project is completed on time and under budget and is sold within hours. Other Portland properties included a small condo on a courtyard and another residence with similar results in the same neighborhood. Similar success was had with two renovations launched and managed as Airbnb properties in Lawrence, Kansas.
